Boilerplate
One line, for a roundup:
Nostaliga is a private memory timeline for iPhone and iPad that rebuilds your past around the music you were listening to at the time.
A paragraph, for a review:
Nostaliga starts with every song you have ever played and rebuilds your life around it. Connect the services you already use — Apple Music, Spotify, Last.fm, Strava, HealthKit, Swarm, Trakt, Adobe Lightroom — or import a data archive, and the app assembles one scrollable timeline: open any day and see the photos you took, the workouts you did, and the places you went, alongside the exact songs that were playing. There is no Nostaliga account, no server, and no analytics. Every correlation happens on the device, and the data never leaves it.
What makes it different
Most apps that assemble your personal history do it on their servers. Nostaliga does not have servers to do it on.
- No account. There is no sign-up, no profile, and no password. You open the app and connect the services you already have.
- No analytics, no trackers. No analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK, no advertising identifier. The App Store privacy label reads "Data Not Collected."
- On-device matching. Photos are matched to music and moments locally. Nothing is uploaded.
- Your keys stay yours. Connection tokens live only in the iOS Keychain, and one action in Settings erases the local database, tokens, and caches.
Features
Your listening history, as a timeline
Connect Apple Music, Spotify, or Last.fm and every track you've played is placed back on the day you played it — with album art, artist, and how long you spent listening.
Photos matched on the device
Nostaliga lines up your photo library with the music and moments around it. The matching runs locally; no photo is ever uploaded.
Workouts, places, and posts
Strava routes, HealthKit workouts, Swarm check-ins, Trakt watches, and imported Twitter/X, Instagram and Facebook archives all land on the same timeline.
On This Day
